The New Hampshire Jail System

New Hampshire has 10 counties, each with a jail and a statewide jail population of 1,728 inmates in 2005. There are no jail standards program in any county of the New Hampshire state.

The New Hampshire Prison System

3,063 inmates were managed by the Dept. of Corrections on June 30, 2010. The agency operates four faciities. The department's budget in 2010 was $101.5 million, with 1,014 employees.

The Community Corrections System

At the end of 2009, the Dept. of Corrections' Division of Field Services supervised 4,509 probationers and 1,820 parolees through 11 district offices.
